Landscape ecological considerations
We should stop worrying about whether the grass is like street eighteen of local country club. Many of the "weeds" that appear in our gardens are considered medicinal by herbalists and others attract beneficial insects.
We must stop over-watering the lawn. Do not worry about your death grass. The grass will turn green when it rains. Trust me.
If you must have a lawn all, there are organic methods they intend to do, and chemicals. It's probably a good idea to try any remedy before applying it to your entire yard. Location treat problem areas will often be all that is needed.
Landscape VIVATURF ecological considerations
The first and most important consideration in ecological landscape design is an environmental assessment of the site. Is it more like a sunny meadow or forest shade? It's wet and muddy or dry and well drained?
Second, know what native plants grow in your particular environment. This can be done easily by taking a closer look at what's growing in undeveloped areas around. Look at the areas that come closest to your site. The species that are thriving in their natural habitat in the ecosystem of the area with better are more likely to do well, with little or no care, species that grow in different ecosystems, not to mention the different regions of the country or the world.
