Best quality synthetic turf at VIVATURF

Various kinds of fibers are used for the production of synthetic turf. An injection of fibers (grass) is called tuft. A tuft may consist of a single fiber or a bundle of several fibers. VIVATURF always uses several fibers, two different shades of green.

This translates into a lawn well stocked and natural colors. High quality fiber is soft and smooth, elastic and remains upright in form. It is also important that the fiber resists wear and fading. Tip: Always ask what is the time warranty against fading.
Fiber material

The fibers of synthetic grass are made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or polyamide (PA). The polyamide is mainly used as auxiliary fiber in the artificial turf, which consists virtually never 100% polyamide. It is a hard, unpleasant noise under the feet and quickly starts to shine.

Polyethylene is more flexible and durable than polypropylene and deserves preference. The quality and price of the finished product are largely determined by the various raw materials added and the manufacturing process. When the lawn is new, the quality differences are often difficult to detect. This is why the materials and the process are very important when choosing.
Fiber type artificial

Fibers for synthetic turf are available in two categories: fibrils or monofilament. During the production of fibrils, the synthetic material out of the nozzle in the form of very thin film (a bit like a video cassette tape). Small incisions are then made in the film. When the film is stretched, a honeycomb structure is formed [foto].

The flat film is then turned into a spin to give birth to a solid round wire. The disadvantage of the fibrils is their artificial appearance. Over time, the cuts are getting bigger and the grass takes a more natural appearance. This type of fiber is often more economical and therefore widely used for sports fields. Monofilament fibers exit the nozzle ready (like spaghetti). Several fibers are then boot. This boot is the synthetic turf of grass. Monofilament fibers are generally more natural appearance. Their flexibility and softness and their wear resistance depend on the proportions, shape and materials used.
