VIVATURF artificial grass information
What is the Shelf Life?
The life of a synthetic turf extends between 25 and 30 years for a turf quality.
What is the resistance to tearing?
This criterion is often overlooked, yet it is essential in choosing artificial grass if you do not have the unpleasant surprise to find strands of grass scattered all over the years. Still wondering what is the resistance to tearing. This is a measure that will be given, and it is always expressed and calculated in Newton.
Warning: You must absolutely avoid any measure less than 45 Newton!
Why is weight so important?
The weight of the grass is a density criterion that allows you to better assess the thickness of the turf.
We talk about Dtex or decitex. A Dtex represents the weight in grams per 10,000 meters of wire. More fiber, the higher the weight becomes important since we have more material. Example: if you have 2 artificial turf, one of which has a height of 20 mm and one 35 mm, the second will have a greater weight.
Note: The weight alone is not a criterion, it must be related with the height to be reliable in the choice of synthetic turf.
Thus, the more Dtex, the greater will be the heavy grass. A good synthetic turf will often 2.7kg and 3.2kg between m2 beyond, the grass is too dense and look like a cushion loses its reality.
